China's imports and exports to other RCEP member countries are growing steadily

According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, China's imports and exports to other RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement) member states were 5.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year, and trade with other RCEP member states accounted for more than 30% of China's foreign trade.

On June 2nd, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) came into full effect for 15 member countries, and the world's largest free trade area has entered a new stage of full implementation, bringing more business opportunities and benefits to enterprises. From January to May, Nanjing Customs issued a total of 42,400 RCEP certificates of origin, the export value of 13.303 billion yuan, an increase of 56.52% and 20.54%, respectively, it is expected that enterprises can enjoy the destination country tariff concessions of 199 million yuan. In the first half of the year, Dongguan Customs under Huangpu Customs issued a total of 7,691 RCEP certificates, with a value of 1.653 billion yuan, up 72.9% and 38.6% year-on-year, respectively, and enterprises are expected to enjoy tariff concessions of more than 10.66 million yuan.

     The relevant person in charge of the General Administration of Customs said that it will resolutely do a good job in the implementation of RCEP, further play the role of the agreement in stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment, promoting industrial chain and supply chain cooperation, and promoting high-quality development, guide enterprises to fully understand and use the policy dividends of RCEP, and help enterprises to further explore the RCEP market.
